Give and Take

Hey hotties. Welcome to February- the month of ~love.~ Whether or not you have an official Valentine (Andrew, text me back...), you can still celebrate the love in your life, specifically your love of *generosity.*
You're probably like ew, Haley, generosity? In the workplace? I thought business was a dog-eat-dog world where you're supposed to beat everyone else. Trust me, I know... I was the same way. But then I read this book and now I'm like... super generous. Why? Because it taught me that if you want to be successful you have to help others succeed.
It's so crazy that this is a novel worldview. And yet... Give and Take really did change my perspective on what it takes to succeed. Adam Grant is a geniusss. Also, if you practice the principles in the book, you basically guarantee that when you do become successful (which you will) you won't be alone at the top! Because of your generosity and kindness, you'll have deep friendships with people you can invite on your yacht, which is what life is really all about.

A groundbreaking look at why our interactions with others hold the key to success, from the bestselling author of Originals
For generations, we have focused on the individual drivers of success: passion, hard work, talent, and luck. But in today’s dramatically reconfigured world, success is increasingly dependent on how we interact with others. In Give and Take, Adam Grant, an award-winning researcher and Wharton’s highest-rated professor, examines the surprising forces that shape why some people rise to the top of the success ladder while others sink to the bottom. Praised by social scientists, business theorists, and corporate leaders, Give and Take opens up an approach to work, interactions, and productivity that is nothing short of revolutionary.
